About
Behind RODAR (previously AMO), is Nathalia Cousens. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Nathalia came to London in 2008 to study and has since been involved with fashion.
After studying Personal Styling at the London College of Fashion, Nathalia began her career in retail in 2010 at Selfridges. She took a year-long break from Selfridges to gain experience in tailoring at Dolce & Gabbana, before returning to Selfridges as a Manager for Givenchy. In 2015, she left her position to bring AMO to life. After two years with the brand, Nathalia decided to join Matches Fashion to deepen her understanding of e-commerce and online shopping behavior. Matches Fashion provided her with valuable experience, offering her the opportunity to travel across the USA, Europe and the Middle East, where she engaged with clients, hosted events, and offered personalized shopping services to VIP clients.
Nathalia’s most recent role was at NUE Hoops Jewellery, where she worked for the past two years. Here, she gained further insights into e-commerce, this time within a smaller business environment with unique challenges. Reflecting on her journey over the past decade, Nathalia feels that life has led her back to (now) RODAR with a more mature and experienced perspective.
The concept of creating semi-precious jewellery emerged when Nathalia noticed the difficulty in finding original accessories to complete her clients’ outfits. While low-quality fashion jewellery and high-end pieces are easy to find, there seemed to be a gap for something in between—items that combine class, quality and style at affordable prices. This is where RODAR steps in.
